laceyandryan.gifLast night we visited my friend Karen Ward at Church of the Apostles, a new monastic community in the Freemont District of Seattle. Karen and I know each other through Emergent Village and events we have both spoken at. COTA has figured out how to do a public gathering that expresses their beliefs, values, and personalities in an organic, creative and soulful way. I love the fact that they write their own music and liturgy. Freemont is the neighborhood in Seattle that feels the most like home to me– and I see alot of similarities between SEVEN and how COTA is working out following the Way in their context.
